The doctor will use what was discussed at the initial consultation with a thorough physical examination including a thorough chiropractic exam as well as orthopedic, neurological, and kinesiology exams to create a custom treatment plan. The exams will help with structuring what you will need on each chiropractic visit like; chiropractic adjustment and procedures.

What Can You Expect During Your First Time Initial Appointment for Chiropractic Care?

Kinesiology Testing
We use orthopedic manual muscle testing and range of motion testing during your physical exam to evaluate your body's peripheral nervous system to diagnosis the specific area where chiropractic adjustments can help as well as where other treatments can help soft tissues like massage therapy techniques or other procedures can help give you the best benefit during your healing process. Using manual muscle testing and range of motion testing during your first appointment allows our full-body chiropractors to fine-tune your chiropractic adjustments and determine where your pain and dysfunction or injury originate from.
Manual muscle and range of motion testing are also used after your first adjustment and treatment to evaluate if your adjustment restoring your body to its normal state. So you can judge whether the treatment helped.
Digital X-Rays
Your specific condition may require us to take digital radiographs to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.
Digital radiographs are only needed if indicated.
Surface EMG
Utilizing technology nearly identical to the commonly used EKG/ECG, the MyoVision ScanVision device is a specialized instrument that allows us to do a "quick measure" of the muscle tension and the nerve stress of the spine. This shows the muscular compensation patterns for various spinal disorders. The procedure is painless and is done on all chiropractic patients during your initial visit and will be repeated on a regular basis to measure your progress.
The bars extend outward from the spine, showing muscle tension and nerve stress levels on both left and right sides of the spine. The length of the bars is proportional to the amount of muscle tension and nerve stress.
MyoVision helps our Fargo chiropractors look at the stress of the nerves and muscles along the spine. This helps set a baseline for future follow-up assessments to be compared too.
Functional Movement Screen
The Functional Movement Screen utilizes the Kinetisense Markerless Motion Capture system to assess everything from head to toe to determine whether each area of a patient is functioning properly. This helps guide us in developing your treatment Finally Feel Good Plan.
Posture Assessment
Our chiropractors use Kinetisense Motion Capture System to determine deviations from the normal positions of the head, rib cage, pelvis, and spine. Abnormal posture has been associated with the development and progression of many bone and joint conditions. Acute injuries and chronic or repetitive stress injuries can lead to pain and dysfunction. Making it essential for you to find a local chiropractor for assistance. Tech neck is a common finding.

Gait Analysis
In our mission to find the root cause of your condition, your visit will include a complimentary foot scan. Skeletal imbalances can result from improper foot alignment affecting your entire kinetic chain.
